The service authenticates the university network usernames and passwords.

Services:

 

Authentication services are for web applications or other networks. Users need to fill in CUNET account username/password before logging in using LDAPS Protocol (LDAP SSL).

Faculties/colleges/institutes/offices can send a memorandum requesting authentication services to the Office of Information Technology

Faculties/colleges/institutes/offices can send a memorandum requesting authentication services to the Office of Information Technology

Conditions:

For web application log in: the developer has to use https encryption. For client-server application: client-server communication has to be encrypted to prevent username/password from being hacked.
